Part of series called 'The Bridging Worlds', this film explores the life, history and culture of the Indian Diaspora in South East Asia, specifically Malaysia and Singapore. It looks at the ancient trade links between India and Asia leading to the spread of Hinduism and Buddhism, followed by the arrival of indentured labourers and the present day position as a successful community.
